Our Facility

West Hills Hospital, in Reno, NV is a 46,000 square foot facility with space for 80 patients. This large, spacious facility was built in 1982 and has been recently renovated from top to bottom. It was acquired just a few years ago by Psychiatric Solutions Inc., based in Franklin, TN, just outside of Nashville. PSI offers an extensive continuum of behavioral health programs to critically ill children, adolescents and adults and is the largest operator of owned or leased freestanding psychiatric inpatient facilities with approximately 10,000 beds in 32 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Our Facility maintains at least 12 full time medical staff to oversee programs, patients and care. This insures you or your loved one will always be in the hands of a professional medical services provider and will receive the topmost care available. The facility also maintains a unique security protocol, which allows for patients to spend time in their semi-private rooms, one of several patient lounges, or one of three outdoor courtyards, some of which even include playground play equipment. In addition, we maintain a full sized gymnasium for indoor play and exercise. In addition, our full service cafeteria is staffed by professional food service personnel to provide for a decidedly non “hospital food” dining experience. With a fresh salad bar, fruit bar, and nutritious, professionally prepared meals, you’re guaranteed never to be disappointed!
